Lauren is from the Syilx Nation, and a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. Lauren has extensive experience with management and worked as a Education Director for the Enowkin center. She now manages and works for LSIB in protection of smelqmix lands. Lauren believes that the fear of business should not hold our people back from financial prosperity.

Lesley is from the Syilx Nation, and a Council woman of the Penticton Indian Band. Lesley has worked in PIB’s Economic Development department for over 10 years and has extensive experience in setting up business ventures. Lesley’s goal is to always ensure that community is protected in the business world.

Tara is from the Syilx Nation, and a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. Tara has worked for the Okanagan Nation Alliance for over 10 years and works hard to make sure that business ventures are consistent with LSIB’s values.

Jody is from the Syilx Nation, and a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. Jody’s family has been in the Ranching business for years. Jody believes that growing the communities economic stability is the pathway forward to ensuring the health and wellness of the people.

With over 11 years of experience in the mining industry, he brings a strong vision for economic development. John is committed to helping build a self-sufficient, thriving community that can support not only its own members but also contribute to the well-being of neighbouring communities.

Smelqmix Executive Assistant

Janessa is from the Syilx Nation and is a member of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. Janessa has her Masters in Education and years of administrative experience in which she believes in the growth and prosperity for the local community. Janessa assists with the day to day operations for the board and subsidiary businesses.
