Our land is rich and ripe for agricultural development with acres of enviable arable soil. In a region known as the “Organic Capital of Canada”, the Lower Similkameen Indian Band has hundreds of acres of arable and fruit crop land.
Investing in Viticulture
Sməlqmix Investments has partnered with Vanessa Vineyards to bring a new vineyard to the Similkameen wine region.
In 2021, we will begin the development of a 22-acre vineyard in partnership with Vanessa Vineyards. This development is considered a gateway project into further vineyard development and wine production.
We plan to further develop our agricultural footprint in the region, diversifying across fruit, ground crops, and greenhouses, and are looking for potential partners and investors to join us as we expand into this exciting industry.
